Observation on Teacher
Planning for Teaching
The teacher I observed, Ma’am
Sarah, follows a structured approach in planning her lessons. She utilizes the
Daily Lesson Log (DLL) as a guide to ensure that her teaching aligns with the
curriculum standards. Her lesson planning is well-organized, with clear
objectives and engaging activities that cater to different learning styles. She
carefully considers the needs of her students and incorporates various
strategies to make learning more effective and meaningful.
Preparing Lessons and Materials
Before class, Ma’am Sarah
diligently prepares her materials to ensure a smooth learning experience for
her students. She primarily uses PowerPoint presentations as her main teaching
material. She ensures that her slides are well-structured, visually appealing,
and contain relevant content to aid students' understanding. Her preparation
reflects her commitment to making lessons clear and engaging.
Teaching in Class
In the classroom, Ma’am Sarah
creates a lively and encouraging learning environment. She starts with a warm
greeting and a short review of the previous lesson before introducing new
topics. Her teaching style is interactive—she asks questions, encourages
student participation, and provides real-world applications for the lesson. She
also implements the “Word of the Day” strategy to enrich students' vocabulary.
Her enthusiasm and clear explanations make the lesson enjoyable and easy to
follow.
Measurement and Evaluation
Ma’am Sarah uses a variety of
assessment methods to measure student progress. She gives quizzes, oral
recitations, group activities, and written exercises to check their
understanding. She also provides constructive feedback to help students
improve. Aside from formal assessments, she observes students' participation
and comprehension during discussions to adjust her teaching accordingly.
